Founder & CEO

Pradeep Singh Shekhawat, CEO for X5 Retail, has worked in conceptualizing X5 and its execution in all aspects. Successful execution of the concepts, sourcing, business development and expansion / rollout, he’s overall responsible for putting all pieces together.

With his excellent knowledge spanning across 20 years and exceptional leadership qualities, in his earlier stints, set up Planet Sports in 1999-2003 as the Country Head, through which , he launched Puma, Speedo, and Marks and Spencer’s in India. He also launched Planet Sports in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Post this, he rolled out a complete retail vertical for Sprandi’- a casual/fashion sportswear and footwear company for Russia and East Europe. As the CEO, he led the rollout for Intimoda – a Russian Retail Concept in multi-brand lingerie;  swimwear and lounge wear (La Perla, Wonderbra, JLo) for Russia and CIS.

Flamboyant and Enterprising, Monika Singh, is a postgraduate in Business Management and Journalism. Among the sphere, Monika has been renowned for her dynamic approach towards all aspects of the business. Earlier worked for a Hindi publication house where she used to handle marketing and space selling and coordination with different bureau offices. She has also worked briefly for agro commodities training before moving to Mumbai.

She was equally involved in conceptualizing, selling the idea and bringing this concept alive. She currently manages all offline operations, booking of various exhibitors and manages all collections. In IEC too her role will be exhibitor / merchandize development and will be fully handling all finance and operations management.
